ENGLAND TO CAPE FLIGHT
BROOK REACHES JUBA FORCED DOWN BY STORM [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] JUBA, 27th April. The airman H. L. Brook, who is flying from England to Capetown, arrived at 7.15 a.m. local time. He was forced down by a storm last night 100 miles north and the tail wheel was damaged in taking off. He hopes to leave for Kisumu at noon. BROADBENT LEAVES DARWIN (Received 28th April, 10.10 a.m.) DARWIN, This Day. H. F. Broadbent left at 6.45 last night on the first stage of his attempt to lower Brook’s solo record from Australia to England.
