REASON FOR FAILURE TRICKY AUSTRALIAN WICKETS [United Press Association— By Electric Telegraph-Copyright) (Received 28th April, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, 27th April. Commenting on the return of the Marylebone cricketers from an Australian and New Zealand tour, Thomas Moult, in the "Daily Telegraph, says he gathers that the team regards the Australian wickets as mainly responsible for their defeat. Moult describes a chunk of the Melbourne wicket which he brought iiome as “a small black ball of cast iron, with a peculiar virtue, a tendency to crumble as the pitch wears."
