GERMAN DISCHARGED
IN POSSESSION OF DOCUMENTS ENTITLED TO HAVE THEM [United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copy righ (Received 28th April, 10.10 a.m.) LONDON, 27th April. Otto Karl Ludwig, a middle-aged German, who was charged on 12th April with attempting to land in the United Kingdom in possession of documents calculated to constitute an act preparatory to the commission of an offence'under the Official Secrets Act, was discharged.
The Director of Public Prosecutions decided that there was no evidence and asked for the dismissal of the charge. It was revealed that Ludwig had blueprints of an armour piercing bullet, but the prosecution was satisfied that he was entitled to have them.
