AUSTRALIAN CRUISERS
TO BE STRENGTHENED GOST OF £500,000 [United Press Aesocintion—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] MELBOURNE, 25th April. Advice has been received from the Commonwealth Minister of Defence, Sir Archdale Parkhill, who is now in London, that the Australian cruisers Canberra and Australia are to be re-arm-our plated, at a cost of £500,000.
