CLOSER POLITICAL CONTACT
LUXEMBOURG WITH BELGIUM (United Press Association —By Electrio Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 21st December, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON, 20th December. The “Observer’s” Brussels correspondent says that the Premier of Luxembourg conferred with the Government. It is believed he is anxious for closer political contact with Belgium, and also to secure the extension of the British guarantee to Luxembourg. It is understood that France is prepared to include Luxembourg in the guarantee offered. Belgium newspapers point out that Luxembourg provides the ideal line of passage for German troops attacking the Maginot line along the Belgian frontier.
