MONARCH’S FAREWELL

NO BRITISH RECORDINGS PERMISSION REFUSED (United Press , Association—By. Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 18th December. Although gramophone records of the Duke of Windsor’s farewell speech are being sold throughout America, none hdve been made in England and none are on sale. According to the “News Chronicle,” the His Master’s Voice Company, which usually has recorded Royal messages, approached the authorities when it was known that King Edward was to broadcast, but permission was refused because it was considered that it was not “policy to have a record of a departing Monarch’s farewell permanently reproducable in every home.” EDWARD’S HOROSCOPE LONDON, 18th December. “The Duke of Windsor, according to indications of astrology, will return to England within ten years as a leader of the social life of Britain, after which the Church and the State will be divided,” said Dr. Atherton at a conference of the Federation of British Astrologers. “The Duke was born under Aquarius, the rising of which is a sign that he belongs to the order of Melchisedeck, but Aquarius belongs to the people and therefore the Duke from birth is of the people as distinct from the Crown.
