ARAB LEADERS ACTIVE jA— aS'JCU TO OVERTHROW BRITISH MANDATE (United Press Association—By Electric Teiegrapn—Copyright) LONDON, 18th December. “The Herald’s” Jerusalem correspondent says that Arab leaders are recruiting followers and speeding up the smuggling of arms, chiefly through Kaukaji, in preparation for a new campaign of terrorism. The movement is widespread over the Transjordan, the idea being the overthrowing of the British mandate there as well as in Palestine. The Arab Higher Committee is said to have a war fund of £138,000, to which businessmen have been intimidated into making contributions.
