TIPS ABOUT TALONS
It is a pity that fitters do not give more implicit instructions to women who buy stepins with this fiat, flexible fastening. Talons are a wonderful improvement but they cannot be treated roughly as a hook-and-eye opening. With careful use they last dependable and foolproof for years. Here are a few tips on how to treat your talon: Cross your legs as you pull the stepin up, and so reduce your hip measurement, making it easier to get the garment over the hips. First, make sure that the talon is pulled all the way down to the last fraction of an inch of the opening. Pull the garment up above the normal waistline, after seeing that it is in perfect alignment with the body. Do the one or two underneath hooks up. This ensures that the two edges of .the fastener are always sufficiently near for the slider to run correctly. Hold the stenin at the bottom edge below the talon opening. Draw the talon closed to the very top. Never stop half way. Then pull the garment down on the body to its correct position, and fasten suspenders. Always see that the talon is fastened right up to the top before laundering, or there will be difficulty in getting it to slide easily afterwards. Never put the garment cn or off with the talon half opened. Never pull the talon up slantwise. It will not work when one or more teeth are out of alignment.
