SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT
RIWAKA WINS CHAMPIONSHIP CERTIFICATES AWARDED At the meeting of the Nelson Education Board the Championship Shield, awarded to the school whose total environment is deemed to be of the highest standard in the Nelson Education District, was awarded to the Itiwaka School for the year 1936. Environment Certificates were awarded as follows: First Class: Riwaka. Auckland Point, Brighlwater, Brooklyn, Upper Moutere, Wakefield.
Second Class: Appleby. Hampden street, Inangahua Junction. Karamea, Kotinga, Lower Moutere. Nelson Central, Onakaka, Oparara, Pigeon Valley, Puponga. Richmond, Seddonville, Stoke, Summerlea, Takaka D.H.S., Tarakohe, Woodstock.
Third Class: Arapito, Birchfield, Cape Foulwind, Churchill, Collingwood, Cronndun, Dovedale, Gordon, 1-lamama. Harakeke, Hope, Korere, Little Wanganui, Mapua, Motucka, Motupiko, Ngatimoti, Orinoco, Pokororo, Ranzau, Redwood’s Valley, Rockville', Six Mile, Spring Grove, Tadmor, Tahunanui, Central Takaka, Tasman, Tiroroa, Waimangaroa.
