TIMARU WOOL SALE
ALMOST A COMPLETE CLEARANCE (United Press Association) TIMARU, 18th December. At the Timaru wool sale there was almost a complete clearance under the hammer except in cases where owners fixed a reserve above parity. Several lots of halfbreds and Corriedales were passed at prices as high as 21d. Following is the range of prices:— Merino, super 20d to 25}d, average 17d to 19jd, inferior 15d to 16X;d. Halfbred, 2l'd to 253 d, average 17d, inferior 14d to lGjd. Crossbred, super 18d to 20,'d, average 16d to 173 d, inferior 13d to ISJd. Corriedale, • suner 20d to 251 d. average 17d to 19|d, inferior 15d to 163 d. Pieces: Merino, to halfbred, to 21)d; three-quarterbred, to 16d; crossbred to 13*d; Corriedale, to 17Jd: necks, to 19d; bellies, loci to /.lcl.
