TWO YEARS’ PROBATION

(United Press Association) AUCKLAND, 17th December. Mrs Muriel Ann Mitchell, formerly a hosiery importer, appeared for sentence on summons to-day on a charge of failing to keep proper books. She was adjudged bankrupt on her own petition in July, 1935. The liabilities were £2773, and the assets £B9. Replying to the Magistrate, Mr Wyvern Wilson, the Official Assignee sajd he would oppose the bankrupt’s discharge. Remarking that it was not a case for imprisonment, the Magistrate admitted the accused to probation for two years.
