FIDUCIARY OPERATIONS IN LONDON (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) LONDON, 16th December. The “Daily Telegraph’s” city editor says that the fiduciary operations announced yesterday have been favourably received in the city as revealing determination to maintain the cheapness of money, avoid deflation, and demonstrate the gold strength of the London authorities. Foreign opinion is favourably impressed. The market generally has strengthened.
