SHIP’S STEWARD SENTENCED (United Press Association) XUCKLAND, 16th December On a,charge of bigamy Sydney Alfred Gore, a farm labourer, formerly a ship’s steward, aged 40, appeared for sentence before Mr Justice Fair this morning, The lower Court evidence showed that in 1933 a friendship sprang up aboard the Rangitane with a widowed nurse returning from England. They were married the following year and lived together at Auckland for two years. The accused already had a wife, whom he married in England in 1920. He was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment.
