POST OFFICE HOLIDAYS
CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR, 1936-37 Post Office: — On Friday and Saturday, 25th and i 26th December, and Friday, Ist January, the Post Office will be closed in all branches. No mails will be despatched on Friday, 25th December, but on Saturday,! 26th idem, and Friday, Ist January, j mails will be closed as usual up to 7.15 j a.m. All mails for later despatch | throughout the day will be closed at i that hour. i A counter delivery of correspon- 1 dence (registered and ordinary) will be made between 7 and 8 p.m. on Thursdays, 24th and 31st December. Sunday hours will be observed in the private box lobby on the 25th and 26th December and the Ist January. Telegraph Branch:— On Friday, 25th December (Christmas Day), the Telegraph Branch will be closed. On Saturday, 26th December (Boxing Day), the Telegraph Branch will be opened from 9 a.m. to noon and 7 to 8 p.m. On Friday, Ist January (New Year’s Day), the Telegraph Branch will be opened from 9 to 10 a.m. and 7 to 3 p.m. Only principal stations will be opened. Note: On holidays, telegrams will be accepted at the Telegraph Branch upstairs, Halifax street entrance, when the drdinary telegraph counter is closed. Telephone Exchange:— The telephone exchange will be open continuously as usiial.
