GARDEN FETE

The annual garden fete of St. John s Methodist Church was opened in dull weather this afternoon by Mr H. J. Savage. The following were the stallholders: Produce, Misses E. Holdaway and M. Cook; cake, Mesdames B. Trathen and F. W. O. Smith, H. J. Savage and Miss E. B. Marten; fancy work and novelty, Misses T. Phillips and A. Heath; sweets, Misses M. B. Nightingale and F. Cook; and Christmas tree, Messrs H. Bourne-Webb, H. J. Savage and J. Hurrell.
