(Received 2nd July, 9 a.m.) MELBOURNE, This Day.
Twelve miniatures from the collection of Mr J. Pierpont Morgan, which has been on view at the National Art Gallery for twelve months, suddenly became doubly valuable as the result of a casual visit to the gallery by a jewel expert, who noticed that the frames were studded with genuine pearls and diamonds, worth probably as much as the miniatures originally cost, £3250, when purchased by the Felton Bequest.
