CLAIM FOR DAMAGES
PILOT SUED BY WIDOW (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, Ist July. The first case of its kind heard in Dunedin came before Mr Justice Kennedy in the Supreme Court this morning when Jessie Marguerite Dailey claimed £SOOO from Frances Cecil Taylor, pilot of an aeroplane which crashed at St. Andrew’s near Timaru. on 24th November. 1934. the plaintiff’s husband- being killed in the accident. The allegation of the plaintiff was that the defendant failed to use, reason-’ able care and skill in piloting the aeropi me in that lie failed to maintain an if den nate living speed and an adequate height above the ground, ns a- result of winch t,t:e machine stalled and crashed
