The fruitgrowers of the district are advised that a demonstration and discussion on pruning will be held at the Research Orchard, Appleby, on Wednesday, 24th June, at 1.30 p.m. Mr T. H. Thorp, orchard instructor, will onduct the demonstration.
The Rover Football Club will hold ' 's annual ball in the Oddfellows' Tall, Wakefield, next Tuesday (King’s 1 Birthday). No effort has been spared 1 md dance-goers are assured of an en- c joyable evening. Mr Harold Williams’s ’ '-chestra has been engaged, a dainty 1 supper is being provided, and the £ loor will be in excellent condition. <
