TECHNICAL ASPECTS OF PROBLEM (United Press Association—By Electric Tel egraph—Copyright) (Received 20th June, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 19th June. - “The Times” editor understands that certain technical aspects of the problem of Pacific shipping are being referred to the Imperial Shipping Committee which will consider points such as the volume of passenger and goods traffic in the past, and possibilities of expansion. It is expected that the committee’s work will be confined to marshalling the facts. The shipping authorities hope that no time will be lost and consider it will be most unfortunate if advantage is not taken to secure an agreement on the main principles of financial assistance, the operation of which could be made dependent on the Imperial Shipping Committee’s report.
