FISHING VESSEL WASHED ASHORE
CREW OF THREE SAVED (By Telegraph—Press Association) HOKITIKA, This Day. The fishing vessel Tiani Anani, which went to sea on Tuesday morning, broke her cranking handle this afternoon, an attempt was made to sail over the bar, but the wind fell and the vessel drifted into the breakers, and was washed ashore half a mile northwards. The crew of three are safe. They had been short of food and water while aboard the vessel.
