GOOD WIN FOR ENGLISHMEN (United. Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) BRISBANE, 17th June. The English Rugby League team defeated Mackay by 40 points to 17. The English forwards and backs dominated play throughout. Arkwright, playing for the first time on the tour, was injured early in the second half and did not resume. Tries were scored for England by Risman (2), Exley (2), Arkwright, Davies, Hudson and Troup, and Hodgson kicked eight goals. For Mackay Daley scored two tries and Lang one and O’Neill kicked four goals. The gate takings amounted to £470.
