THE MONTHLY MEETING APPLICATIONS DEALT WITH At a meeting of the Nelson Land Board there were present: Mr A. F. Waters, Commissioner of Crown Lands (chairman), Messrs A. R. Edwards, J. O’Regan, W. Blackadder, and F. W. Gibbs. APPLICATIONS FOR LAND Section 10. block viii, Burnett survey district, 8 acres and 25 acres (approximately) of section 7, block viii, Burnett purvey district. (Applicant, D. W. Thomson). —It was resolved to grant an occupation license over section 10 and part section 7 at an annual rental of £1 15s. Area of 15 acres on seashore north of section 6, block i, Steeples survey district. (Applicant, Mrs Georgina Gibson). —Application by Mr M. D. Duncan for reconsideration of Board’s decision. Consideration of Mrs Gibson’s application deferred and in the case of Mr Duncan it was resolved to adhere to previous resolution. INCREASE IN AREA Area of 112 acres in block ii, Tutaki survey district. (Applicant, D. O’Rourke). —Adjourned until arrears are paid. APPLICATIONS FOR TIMBER CUTTING LICENSES Part section 23, block ii, Waitakere survey district. Area 50 acres. (Applicants, J. J. McCann and H. D. Dobson). —It was resolved to grant a timber cutting license for twelve months at the State Forest royalty rates. Part sections 25, 26. 29 and 30, block iii, Steeples survey district, 80 acres. (Applicant, Bowater and Bryan, Ltd.). It was resolved to grant a timber cutting license for a period of twelve months at the Forest Service royalty rates. Section 11, block i, Inangahua survey district. Area 329 acres. (Applicant, Nelson Creek Sawmills, Ltd.). —lt was resolved to ask applicants to deposit cost of appraisement, £lO. CANCELLATION Section 6, Town of Black's Point. Area 11.3 perches. (W. Nicholls). —It was resolved to cancel license. EXPENDITURE OF THIRDS, Etc. The Waimea County Council forwarded proposals for the expenditure of thirds amounting to £l2 12s Id and accrued to 31st March, 1936. Approved. EXPENDITURE OF FIFTHS, Etc. The Conservator of Forests. Nelson, forwarded proposal?, by local bodies as under for the .expenditure of fifths of revenue from State Forests:— Waimea County Council. Period ending 31st March, 1936, £4 11s lid. Buffer County Council. Period ending 31st March, 1936, £23 0s Cd. Murchison County Council. Period ending 31st March, 1936, 19s lOd. Inangahua County'Council.
