OBITUARY
SIR JOHN BOWSER (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE, 13th June. The death has occurred of Sir John Bowser, politician, journalist and agriculturalist. He was in the Victorian Legislative Assembly for an unbroken period of 35 years. He was Speaker for three years and for a brief period was 'Premier. MR RICHARD WATKINS SYDNEY, 13th June. The death has occurred of Richard Watkins, aged 81 years. He saw active service during the Great War and was, it is claimed, the oldest member of A.I.F. He enlisted in 1915 at the age of 61. His statement that he was 44 was never questioned.
