TROUBLE IN DANZIG
NAZIS ATTEMPT TO BREAK UP MEETING OVER FIFTY PERSONS INJURED (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 15th June, 1.35 p.m.) ' LONDON, 14th June. The “Daily Telegraph’s” Danzig correspondent says anxiety is growing after the death of a Nazi during a fight when Nazis attempted to break up an opposition political meeting, in which over fifty were injured. Herr Foerster, a Nazi leader and virtual political dictator at Danzig, issued a proclamation blaming the opposition leaders “whom I am obliged to tolerate under the international statute.” He added: “I am speaking as though Germany’s might is behind me, and will not permit Germans in Danzig tc be stirred up by these corrupters of people. Our fuhrer shall not be insulted. He will ruthlessly oppose opposition and terrorism and will not allow ourselves to be atacked. The lives of our men, fighting for finest aims, high ideals, and a gr•;;>!: and free Germany, are more valuable than those treacherous subversive agitators who do not know the Fatherland.” The Opposition points cut they cannot have established terror, as ihe Nazis possess all power, and also control the police and own the uniformed organisations.
