LIVERSIDGE LECTURE
TO BE DELIVERED BY MR T. RIGG Mr T. Rigg, Director of the Cawthron Institute, has accepted the invitation of the Council ,of the Australian and New Zealand Association for the Advancement of Science, to deliver the Liversidge Lecture at the Science Congress to be held at Auckland next January. Mr Rigg has chosen for his subject: . “Soil Deficiencies —their Relation to Plant and Animal •Health." The Liversidge Lecture was established as a result ,of a bequest by the late Professor A. Liversidge, F.R.S.; for the encouragement of research relating to chemistry and its applica-' tion. The lecture is delivered every two or three years at the science congresses of the association ' named above. The lecture was delivered in 1930 by Professor Wilsmore, in 1932 by Sir David Rivett,. and in 1935 by Sir Ormo Masson.
