NEW LOCARNO
EARNEST WISH OF GERMANY NO FURTHER RHINELAND DISCUSSION. (Unit.ci) Press Association —By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) BERLIN, 11th June. , Herr von Ribbentrop, Herr Hitler’s Disarmament Envoy, prefacing a collection of diplomatic documents covering the history of the Locarno Treaty which will shortly be published, declares that Germany wishes nothing more earnestly than the negotiation of a new Locarno, but emphasises that if a new treaty cannot be concluded without contribution by Germany to the solution of the Rhineland question, it will take a long time in the making. “Germany will not pei’mit further discussion over her regained sovereignty in the Rhineland.” He adds that Germany is more interested in the future than.in the past. It is Germany’s earnest desire to conclude a true final peace with her neighbours and build in the West a new Locarno.
