FINE DAYS WITH SHARP FROSTS AT NIGHT The official weather forecast to-day indicated that fine weather would continue with sharp frosts at night. Moderate southerly winds were predicted. Yesterday in Nelson there was a cold southerly, but it was pleasantly warm in the sun, the sunshine amounting to 7 hours 40 minutes. The night was cold, with a frost of nearly three degrees in the city and over ten degrees at the Government Research Orchard. Bright sunshine prevailed to-day and there was no wind. The barometer had mounted to 30.39 from 29.9 yesterday and was rising during the day. Pressure was high over New Zealand this morning and fine weather prevailed. Lower temperatures were recorded. The weather in Wellington yesterday was cold and for the most part cloudy with occasional showers. Auckland had a wet day with a southwesterly wind, similar weather being fairly general in the North Island. Yesterday was fine in Christchurch but Dunedin experienced heavy showers -with intermittent sunshine! -
