CHARGE OF ASSAULT
MAN SENTENCED AT PALMERSTON NORTH (By Telegraph—Press Association) PALMERSTON N„ This Day. Sentence of six months’ imprisonment on each of .two charges of assault, one concerning a young woman and the other relating to an eight-year-old girl, was passed by Mr Stout S.M. on Trevor John Ross Cameron, a labourer, aged 34, who pleaded guilty. The terms were made cumulative. Evidence was given .that accused admitted following the .young woman and striking her twice on the shoulder with a light stick. Later, a complaint was received that the man had followed two young girls in the centre of the city. Accused admitted assaulting one of them.
