CELEBRATIONS AT SYDNEY
BISHOP OF NELSON TAKES PART (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) SYDNEY, 24th May. To-day being preparatory Sunday for the Bishop Broughton Centenary celebrations, Dr. Averill, Primate of New Zealand, preached at St. James’s Church in the city this morning and St. Andrew’s Cathedral, Sydney, in the evening, also with other visiting Bishops he addressed a special Empire service this afternoon at the Cathedral. • Bishop Hilliard, of Nelson preached at St. John’s, Ashfield, in the morning and at St. Thomas’s, at Rozelle, in the evening.
