FRONT-BENCH POLITICS (By Air Mail—From Our Own Correspondent) LONDON, JOtli May. A fact apt to he overlooked is the strong ex-service element in our frontbench politics to-day. To start with Mr Anthony Eden, our Foreign Secretary. is a wartime ex-Gwards olli/er, with MX. Mr Dull' Cooper, our War Minister and Jfuig biographer, is another ex-Guardsman, and a D.S.O. Mr Oliver Stanley, our third ex-service Cabinet Minister, served with the Ii.A.F., and added a Croix de Guerre to his MX'. Coming to the Junior Ministers, there is Mr W. S. Morrison, Mr Chamberlain’s Financial Secretary and next < for Cabinet promotion, another gunner with the M.C. Then there is Captain Euan Wallace, the only Regular soldier of the lot, with another M.C., and finally Mr Douglas Hacking, the new chairman of the Conservative party, who served with the blast Lancs, was mentioned in despatches, and also got his M.C. It cannot he said, therefore. that Ihe wilalnt old R.E.F. is not carrying on the good work, even 18 years alter the War,
