When alighting from a train. . at.,' Pukekohe Mrs Charlotte Sutton Alee,' aged 62 years, of Pukekohe,- fell under ' tlae wheels of a carriage and was killed instantaneously. Mrs Mee received ter- ' l'ible injuries to the head and body, - and jacking operations, which took over an hour, were necessary before the body could be recovered: The. accident ./was: . not seen by the train crew and:the train covered a carriage length' before coming to a stop. The train was delayed for over an hour. The south-bound limited express was diverted without delay.
