IMPRISONMENT AND FLOGGING
MAN WOUNDED WITH SPANNER (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) MELBOURNE. 21st May. Charles Mitchell, aged 23. was sentenced to five years’ imprisonment and to receive a flogging for having wounded John Angus, a storekeeper at El dorado, with a heavy spanner. Accused was also sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment for stealing.
