NEED FOR COLONIES
STRESSED BY REICHSBANK DIRECTOR SUPPLIES OF RAW MATERIALS (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) (Received 22nd May, 915 a.m.) BERLIN, 21st May. Stressing Germany’s need for colonies Dr. Rudolph Eeicke, director of the Reichsbank, in a speech to bank officials, said he estimated that colonies could export to Germany raw materials to the value of between £40,000,000 and £50,000,000 yearly. Countries holding mandates could surrender colonies without endangering their own supplies.
