GABRIEL’S GULLY ANNIVERSARY (Unitoil Press Association) DUNEDIN. 21 si May. Tlio .scventy-liftli anniversary of Gabriel Hoad's finding of gold v> as celebrated at Lawrence yesterday. The principal Innotion, a public meeting, was attended by several hundreds. A wreath was placed on the cairn erected to Gabriel Head, and the following pioneer celebrities planted trees: Francis .Moyle (97 L William Ayson, dolin Mnnro. F. W. Knight. Daniel Keenan. Andrew Hums (!><*)• of Wellington. Richard Norman. Mrs Gain (the lirst girl born in Gabriel’s Gully), and Joseph Bentley (the lirst bov born in the Gully).
