AUSTRIAN INDEPENDENCE
QUESTION IN THE COMMONS MR EDEN’S REPLY (British Official Wireless! (Received 21st May, 11.20 a.m.) RUGBY, 20th May. Asked in the House of Commons what obligations had been incurred todefend the independence and integrity of Austria, Mr Eden, Foreign Secretary, replied: “I would refer the Hon. member to the Covenant of the League of Nations.”
