WEDDING

JORDAN—OSBORN The wedding was celebrated recently at St. James’s Church, Lower Ilutt, of Margaret Elizabeth, only daughter of Mrs and the late Mr T. G, Osborn, Lower Ilutt, and Howard William, younger son of Mr and Mrs W. A. Jordan, Motupiko, Nelson. The (Rev. H. E. K. Fry was the officiating clergyman, and Miss Harte presided at the organ. During the signing of the register the solo, “Beloved, it is Morn,” was rendered hv Miss Eva Stebbitigs. The bridge, who entered the church accompanied by her uncle, Mr P. Riddick, wore a medieval gown of white satin, flaring at the hem into a slight (rain, and trimmed at neck and wrist with silver-tinted organdie flowers. Encircling her waist was a long, plaited silken girdle. Her tulle veil, which was worn over the face, was held in place by a circlet of the same silver flowers which trimmed her frock, and she carried a sheaf of white marguerite daisies. The bride’s cousin, Miss Eva Stebbings, attended her as bridesmaid, and was dressed in a trained gown of apple green moire taffeta. With this she wore a silver hat and mittens to tone, and carried a dainty posy of gladioli, fuchsia, and roses.

Mr T. Osborn, brother of the bride, was best man, and Messrs 11. Sieversen and W. Lowis were tlie ushers. As the bride left the church she was met by a group of little friends, three of whom presented her with beautiful horseshoes.

A reception and dance was held at the Tuarua Hall, where friends and relatives of the bride and bridegroom were received by the bride’s mother, and bv Mrs W. A. Jordan, mother of the bridegroom. Mrs Osborn was wearing a navy blue and floral ensemble and navy blue hat, and Mrs Jordan wore a brown floral frock, long brown coat, and a brown at. Both carried flowers to tone. When Mrs IT. Jordan' left with her husband on a motor tour of the North Island she was wearing a smart frock of brown with small bat and accessories to match.
