MAPUA BOWLING CLUB
DI STR ICT COMPETITION The Mapua Bowling Club met the Richmond Club on the former’s green the visitors proving the winners by 35 points. The following were Hie scores, Mapua mentioned first Couch, Hall, Sladen, Ralfe (s) 11, Pickup, Win, Hockey, Grooby (s) 22. Pnyntor, Napier, Wakefield, Neave (s) 18. Kiuvig, Norris, Dee, Papps (s) 23. Horne, ITiggs, Jackson, Coutts (s) 10, McMurrav, Goodman, Cressy, Smith (s) 29.
Total: Mapua 39, Richmond 74. After the games Air P. Coutts on behalf of the club (after apologising for the absence of tlie president, Air T. A. White, on account of ill health), thanked the visitors for their presence. All had enjoyed the games thoroughly. Mr Cressy on behalf of Richmond suitably replied. Cheers were then exchanged, including a- special cheer for the ladies for the very fine afternoon leaprovided.
