SCRUM FORMATION
REVERSION TO TWO.THREE-TWO FAVOURED

INVERCARGILL, 25th March.. -Lie Southland Rugby Union' at its annual meeting to-night decided to press for a reversion to the two-three-two scrum formation throughout New Zealand. Mr A. J. Geddes, a former New Zealand selector, said there was no Joubt about the two-three-two being the best scrum, but he questioned whether it was advisable to introduce it generally .owing to the coming visit of the South A'frican and Australian teams. The proposal was carried by an overwhelming majority. OTAGO SUPPORT DUNEDIN, 25th March. • A motion was almost unanimously carried at the annual meeting of: the Otago Rugby Union to-night favouring a return to the two-three-two scrum, and the introduction of a rule; providing for an imaginary line through the ' middle of the scrum. The meeting-was ■juat as unanimous in opposing the reintroduction of the amended-kick into touch rule. •. V • . .. .
