INCREASE IN WAGES
. MOTOR WORKS DISPUTE A SETTLEMENT REACHED (United'Press Association) ; ; WELLINGTON, This Day.. A settlement 'has'; been reached in the dispute affecting the workers at the Petone motor; assembly plants. The settlement., provides for an, allround increase of -lls weekly (3d per hour) on the .rates at present payable. This includes the - penny per hour provisionally granted at the time of the .cessation of work some three weeks ago. The increase of lls is payable to all workers irrespective of grade, and embraces boys, ' girls, and women workers, a number/of whom are’engaged at these plants.
