HOCKEY PLAYER FAREWELLED
At the annual meeting of the Nelson Hockey Association last evening Mr H. R. Gibbous, a member of previous management committees, and a- Federal Club player, was farcwellcd. The president, Mr" J. W. Russell, said that Mr Gibbons was going to Wanganui, and he would like to say how much they would regret losing Mr Gibbons, who was wholehearted in his enthusiasm for the game. He wished him farewell and success notonly in business but also in the- field of sport. These remarks were endorsed by Mr S J. Wilson.
Mr Gibbons in reply thanked them for (heir remarks, and said it- was a pity that more did not have a club spirit and try to foster the game and encourage the juniors
