A man found that his wireless set would not work. As he was anxious to hear the night’s programme he called a boy. “Go to the wireless shop, my boy, and I will give you threepence. Tell the man that Mr Crown in Short street has got a screw or something loose in his set and wants you to come to see it.” ■ The t|oy told his stofy. The shopkeeper did not know Crown, so he said to the boy: “Do you know anything more about Mr Crown?” “No,” the boy replied shyly. “Orl I know is ’e’s got, a screw loose somewhere.’
