A committee to canvass for the necessary voices was elected as follows: Mrs Movnihan, Miss Steventon, Messrs F. Mitchell, C. J. Du Flou, E. A. Bradshaw and Smith. Hon. secretary and treasurer: Mr J. S. Harper. Hon. aecompaniste: Mrs P. Vining. The election of an lion, conductor was deferred. It is earnestly hoped that. the.choir will be entered in the competition, the rules demanding a minimum of 4Q and a maximum of 50 voices.
