STRUCK BY CAR
NEW PLYMOUTH, This Day. Struck by a car at Okato at about 6 Mil. yesterday Ernest Woodward, aged .0 years, of Puniho, suffered a compound fracture of the left leg, a simple fracture of the left arm, broken ribs and injuries, possibly including a fracture of the skull. His condition is critical. Tlie accident occurred as Woodward was walking from a hotel towards the petrol station. E. Elwyn was driving the car to Puniho. The injured man was taken to New Plymouth Hospital by ambulance. Woodward, who has a farm at Puniho, if a married man with a family of six young children. The car was damaged aboui the radiator, but neither the driver nor any of the passengers was injured.
