SEIZURE OF LEMONS UNDER sanctions

The “Daily Express” says that Customs officers seized 400 cases of Italians; grown lemons allegedly landed in England contrary "to the League embargo’ on Italian goods. This is the first seizure ' since sanctions were enforced against Italy. . ; , * Each ’■ 'lemon was wrapped separately; and the wrappers bore the words “Pro*, duce of Syria,” but expert examination'* 1 revealed that they were grown in Italy, not Syria.
