Times” says after heavy fighting 20,000 Communists advancing southward ~cap-, tured the towns of Pingyueh and Maping, and cut communications. at Kweiyaung eastward, upon which Government troops retired and are strongly fortifying the towns. It is claimed that troops from Hunan „ are menacing the Communist rear.
