DEMOCRAT PARTY
CLAIM AGAINST ORGANISER DATE OF HEARING HELD OVER (By Telegraph—Press Association) WELLINGTON, This Day. The case of William Goodfellow versus Albert Ernest Davy, organiser of the Democrat Party, was mentioned before Mr Justice Ostler in chambers to-day, when he was making fixtures for the Supreme Court sessions which open on Monday. Mr Jackson, acting on behalf of Goodfellow’s Auckland agents, said he understood an amended statement of claim had been filed ancl he did not propose to ask for a fixture. Mr Watson, for Davy, said he did not wish to see the case crowded out of the session. Mr Justice Ostler remarked that the case was obviously not ready for trial, and Mr Wataon would not be prejudiced if the question of granting a fixture was held over in the meantime.
