SHIPMENTS OF MEAT The New Zealand Meat Producers’ Board is advised by cable from its London Office that tlie shipments from Australia, South America, and South Africa to the United Kingdom during the first half of January, 1936, were as follows : Australia.—Carcases mutton, 20,948; carcases lamb, 153,367; quarters beef, frozen 5132, chilled nil. South America.—Carcases mutton, 4523; carcases lamb, 211,961; quarters beef, frozen 2755, chilled 167,693. South Africa (including _ Southern Rhodesia). —Quarters beef, chilled 1692. The shipments from New Zealand to the United Kingdom for the first half of January were as follows. —Carcases mutton, 1i,737; carcases lamb, 164,730; quarters beef, frozen 487, chilled 2214.
