Turnlmll (Wellington)- was elected president-elect. It. was. resolved that the executive be located in Wellington for the ensuing year and also resolved to urge the Government Lo exempt all foodstulls from the sales tax; also in the matter of the Bankruptcy Act to grant preference to. accounts for foodstuffs on the grounds that credit was given which in ordinary circumstances would lie withheld. It was also decided to urge that a magisterial inquiry he held concerning a discrepancy in the Auckland Charitable Aid Relief Board Grocery contract. The conference concludes to-n ight. It was decided to hold the next. conference at Christchurch.
