GROCERS MEET
ANNUAL CONFERENCE AT CHATEAU (By Telegraph—Press Association) CHATEAU TONGARIRO, This Day. The thirteenth annual conference of the New Zealand Master Grocers’ Federation opened at the Chateau. Mr C. M. Croft, Canadian Trade Commissioner, addressed the conference on the subject “Canada as a Commercial Country.” The roll call disclosed that representatives were present from all parts of the Dominion. Mr Eric Gray, Kaiapoi, was elected president. Last evening Mr Croft screened films depicting Canada, which were received with much enthusiasm. This morning Mr Croft addressed the conference on the subject of massed buying.
