ATTEMPT ON RECORD ENDS MISHAP TO THANINO (United Press Association—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CAPE TOWN, Bth January. Mr Otto Thaning, the Danish Consul at Johannesburg, who left Cape Town for England in an attempt to break the record, overturned when landing at Launda, in Portuguese West. Africa. Both lie and his wife, who is acting as co-pilot, were uninjured.
